I have had the good fortune to work with many students over my career,
both as a graduate student, a postdoctoral fellow, and as a
faculty member. Many of them have gone on to successful careers
in all sorts of fields. I would like to thank my graduate advisor,
Robin Ciardullo, and my post-doctoral advisor, Chris Mihos, for
giving me the opportunity to help supervise some of their students.

Amanda is assisting in astronomy education research, studying
the importance of metacognitive behavior and behavioral changes
in undergraduate students.

Deidra assisted in astronomy education research, and studied
the resistance of students to active learning techniques.

Matthew Boser - Spring 2007 - Summer 2007
Matthew assisted in astronomy education research, looking at
how student performance improved with time using interactive learning
techniques. Matthew was also the first student assistant I had
in my introductory astronomy class.

Zachary Brown- Fall 2006 - Fall 2007
Zachary was involved in searching for extra-solar planets in
the BOKS survey. He presented his research results at Quest 2007. Zachary has been elected
to the position of Student Government Association president for Youngstown
State University in 2009-2010 .

Stuart was an undergraduate at Case Western Reserve University and
he assisted in searching for planetary nebulae in the M81 system.
Stuart is currently an astronomy graduate student in the
Department of Astrophysical and Planetary Sciences at the
University of Colorado, Boulder

Cameron was an undergraduate at Case Western Reserve University and
I helped him with some intracluster star research. Cameron is currently
a postdoctoral fellow at Vanderbilt University.

Nathan was an honors undergraduate at Case Western Reserve University.
when I worked with him on some intracluster star research. Nathan is
currently an astronomy graduate student at the University of Washington.

Kara Krelove - Summer 1999 - Spring 2000
Kara was a Penn State honors undergraduate when I worked with her.
She did research with Robin Ciardullo and myself on intracluster
planetary nebulae. Kara received a masters degree
in Geosciences in 2005 at Arizona State University.

Rachel was a Penn State honors undergraduate when I worked with her.
She did research with Robin Ciardullo and myself on extragalactic
planetary nebulae in nearby galaxies. Rachel
is currently a
National Science Foundation Astronomy and Astrophysics Postdoctoral
Fellow at UC Irvine.
